Homemade Lemonade (Junior Cooking Styl~):
1/2 c sugar
1/2 c hot water
2 to 3 lemons (depending on size)
4 c cold water
(A couple of drops of red food coloring for
pink lemonade)
Mix in bottom of a 2 qt container the sugar and hot water. Stir, roll and press each lemon on a hard surface.
Cut each one in half. Remove all the seeds you can. Squeeze on a juicer. Remove rest of seeds;
Add juice to sugar mixture. Add cold water and food coloring. Stir. Add a few ice cubes and pour into glasses.
