| The
Searcy and Des Arc Railroad Company was incorporated to consolidate
the Searcy and West Point Railroad Company and the Des Arc and Northern
Railway Company "to consolidate the said two lines of railroad so as to
form a continuous line of railroad from Searcy, in White County, to Des
Arc, in Prairie County, in the State of Arkansas - 25 miles." It was eventually sold to the Chicago, Rock Island and Pacific Railway Company on March 24,1904. |
