John Jay Reed, 58, of Judsonia, died Monday, Dec. 19, 2005 at his residence. 
He was a former employee with White County Paving and a member of the River of Life Church. 
He was born Dec. 12, 1947 in Sullivan, Mo. to the late Thomas Bertram Reed and Kate (McDonald) Hamby.

He is survived by his wife, Frances Reed; a son, Tommy Fralick Reed of Evening Shade, Ark.; 
five daughters, Jolene Reed, Lea-Ann Reed, Katy Reed and Samantha Inman, all of Judsonia, 
and Jennifer Ferren of Alabama; three brothers, Macky Reed of Bald Knob, 
Jerry Reed of Bloomfield, Iowa, Tommy Reed of Pittsville, Wis.; a sister, 
Jean Gaylord of Bourbon, Mo.; his mother, Kate Hamby of Bradford; a step-father, Jack Hamby 
and three grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his father; 
a son, Joshua James Reed; a sister, Patricia Jane Rowell; and a brother, Bert Reed. 

Funeral services are 10 a.m. Friday, Dec. 23, 2005 at Powell Funeral Home Chapel with Bro. 
Keith Tomlinson, Bro. Carl Medley and Bro. Jerry Reed officiating. Interment will be in Shady Grove Cemetery. 
The family will receive visitors Thursday, 6-8 p.m. at the funeral home.
