I would like to know if you know how he is related to Nathan Bedford Forrest?
My Mom used to say we were related to Nathan Bedford but I never knew just how.
Did you ever get any info on Hezekiah Forrest? He was murdered in Benton Co., TN.
I suppose you know that already now.

I am seeking information about my gg grandparents, Hezekiah Forrest and his wife,

Martha Elender (Elendor?) Utley

who were married in 1836 or 1837.
They lived in Benton Co., TN until after the Civil War then moved to
Howell Co, Missouri. I have some info about Martha's family but nothing
about Hezekiah's. He might have been an Elder in the Mt. Pleasant Baptist
Church and might have had a relative named Daniel FORREST. 
The FORRESTs had 11 children. I am related through their daughter,
Mary Leona Josephine Forrest McFarland

Elijah and Sarah named their last son after Nathan Bedford Forrest, The Civil War General.
I have in my possession, a letter to me, dated 25 Mar. 1976 which was written by Mrs. Cecil Bradly
of Memphis, TN, who is the great granddaughter of General Nathan Bedford Forrest.

They lived in Osceola and Luxora, AR for the last 25 years. They were getting old and needed someone
to look after them, so for the last move they were going to make, their children brought them back to Memphis,
where they both died and are buried in Luxora, AR.
